Sharing. I'm itching to attack the keyboard.

So lets talk about sharing.

Sharing is a virtue. An act of sharing, is almost an act of selflessness.

Well, almost.

Remember the pink elephant that we'd see often during primary school days?

He's called the Sharity Elephant. A supposed ambassador and mascot for the needy.

But do you realise, Sharity Elephant is but a mere gimmick? A simple cartoon-ish elephant drawn to impart the capacity to share, to the young children. When they tell you that you can get the chance to meet Sharity Elephant live, Sharity Elephant is simply some person in a costume? He/she might have had done it voluntarily, or might have been paid to do so.

So much for Sharity Elephant.

Sharing, to provide help for the needy and friends etc.

I'm not here to slam Sharity Elephant.

Sharing, is something we're supposed to be raised up with. Good things must share one.

Yet at times, we keep things to ourselves.

We're all guilty of that at times. I admit to it.

Realize something? Us children actually need this cartoon-ish elephant to encourage us to share?

Sadly, even with the advent of this cartoon-ish elephant, people still don't change.

One incident.

With the envelopes given out, supposedly by Sharity Elephant, asking us children to lend a generous helping hand to the needy.

I see some children stuffing their used tissue paper and rubbish into the envelope and giving them back.

Gosh, Sharity Elephant, you've failed them.

OK, its not the elephant's fault.

I put $1. Better than rubbish?

Still, it's not like I'm one to share things.

Well, enough about how much we can or cannot share.

What is it that we should share?

Nice things?
Good food?
Wealth?
Laughter?
Hobbies?
And an endless list comes out.

So we should share most of the good things in life-

Wait, there was a saying, about sharing weal and woe together?

Oops, looks like sometimes, we have to bear hardships together eh?

That's considered sharing too :D

Even when I'm blogging out this whole bunch of text out for your viewing pleasure, that is sharing too. Is this considered under "woe"? :)

Our respective Gods are what we share too. Because God, can't always be just for only one person.

OK, what can we not share?

Files. File sharing is illegal. Don't download things illegally.

Spouse. You crazy? Spouse cannot share one! Wait, then people whine about you being possesive of your soulmate. People want everything.

In certain cases, the truth. Because sometimes, the cat is best kept suffocated in the bag, rather than being let out.

Sleep. Can you sleep for me? I'm feeling rather tired now.

Skills and abilities. You have to learn them on your own.

Experience. It is not what happens to a man. It is what a man does with what happens to him.

With that, my itchiness fades. My vocabulary has run dry.

Unleash out all that you've bottled up? Sure. There's a big reason why I'm posting about sharing today.

There are just so many things that I can't stand to share.

But these are things I can't control, things that are meant to be everyone's property, yet I'd love for such things to just be my own.

It'd be so special. Like taking God all for myself. Which is virtually impossible.

Haha so, taking it in my stride, and forget about it.
